Indicator Profile of Inhalant Use among Middle School Students

Why Is This Important?

Inhalant use refers to the intentional breathing of vapors or gas in order to reach a high. Inhalant use is most prevalent among younger adolescents, perhaps because it is often the easiest drug for them to obtain. [1] The negative consequences of inhalant use can be substantial and include an increased risk of other illicit drug abuse later in life, damage to vital organs, and even sudden death.
