Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Statistics

Welcome to the Mortgage Foreclosure Data Collection Application

Currently accepting data for Jan - Mar 2014.
Who should use this application? Creditors that institute a mortgage foreclosure action in the Superior Court of New Jersey.
When? Quarterly, for any quarter just completed during which a foreclosure complaint on a residential mortgage was filed (Only creditors who file at least one complaint seeking to foreclose on a residential mortgage during a calendar quarter are required to report data for that time period.)
What needs to be reported? For the reporting quarter, the number of mortgage foreclosure actions on residential properties by municipality, with counts also broken down by a number of reporting categories. More information including additional reporting categories.
Why? The Mortgage Stabilization and Relief Act, P.L. 2008, c. 127, enacted on January 9, 2009, requires reporting of this data.
If you are a mortgagee or a mortgage servicer (also referred to as a "creditor") with foreclosure data to report, or if you are authorized to act on behalf of such a creditor for purposes of reporting foreclosure data, you must use this application to enter foreclosure data.
